THE GHOST STORY
Hello everyone!
At the young age of 23, I wanted to build a shop that focused on process and efficiency. In order to fulfill that notion, work suddenly became a practice and passion. Most days, I would rather find myself behind a squeegee than doing anything else. Three years after Hillhouse started, we were presented with an opportunity to merge with a client. Promises of partnership and ownership, mutual growth, and “big things” never came to fruition, and Hillhouse essentially became a “Ghost” for a while. Everything that Hillhouse was supposed to be ended up building someone else's foundation for the next 4-5 years. Despite providing some great opportunities and challenging experiences that I now view as a means to learn and grow, these frustrating circumstances ultimately turned my dream into a nightmare.
In May of 2018, I decided to resurrect Hillhouse; let’s call it version 2.0 Merging high production skills with quality printing, I wanted to offer the best options for all types of clients. Listening to customer complaints of other shops motivated me to center our focus on correcting those experiences. We are always evolving and trying to find better ways of creating quality products, whether they are contract style, corporate needs, or for your best friend’s local restaurant. The funny thing is, we have been here for more than a decade, you just haven’t seen us. I am willing to bet I have printed something in your closet, but Hillhouse is no longer the ghost in hiding, we want you to see us and know that we are committed to making your vision a reality too.
